J.M. Morin Earthworks, Inc. was originally founded in 2000 by local entrepreneur Jeff Morin. He started the company off as a small trucking operation and then moved towards excavation services for homeowners and construction outfits. He soon realized there was another niche to fill: retail “dirt” sales. Over the last two decades, J.M. Morin Earthworks, Inc. has seen a lot of growth and has steadily become the local “Dirt Store”.  Always striving to keep up with customers’ requests, Jeff has kept “Earthworks” growing towards supplying various aggregates, mulches and composts.

In 2015, the facility was expanded to include a retail storefront where customers can come pick up all their desired products. Whether it’s compost for a garden, gravel for a driveway, decorative stone to dress up the front lawn, bark mulch for landscaping, or Super Soil for your home or commercial growing projects, The Dirt Store is here to help you choose the best product for your needs, calculate your yardage, and schedule delivery at your convenience. That’s right, if you can’t pick it up, we are happy to deliver anywhere in Maine for a very reasonable fee. No load is too big or too small; we have a dependable fleet of trucks to handle your delivery needs.

The storefront also allows customers to walk around to see the products we offer for themselves. Need a sample? No problem. Many customers also choose to purchase products by the 5 gallon bucket at a very low cost to try out projects at home. Want help deciding what you need or what product will best suit your needs?
